Mean Green Cleaner & Degreaser Review & Uses
by Kate P.
(Champaign, Ill.)
Kate shared her Mean Green cleaner and degreaser review and uses.
Kate says:
Several years ago I came across this very inexpensive cleaner at my local Dollar General Store.
Walmart and some other dollar-type stores also carry it.
It's kind of a miracle in my opinion.
It takes nicotine stains out/off of almost everything.
In particular, it
works fabulous on my painted walls.
I'm a chain-smoker and the nicotine stains on my walls can get pretty nasty. As soon as you spray this on it starts to work and dissolve the stains.
It does smell like a chemical and is somewhat strong. You might want to use a face mask if you're sensitive to smell, and for sure use it a well-ventilated area.
Since it's chemical based you might want to use rubber gloves to protect your hands, esp. if you have sensitive skin.
It's super-easy to use: spray on, scrub with scratchy-pad type of sponge, rinse. (Rinse well.)
Label also says not to leave to dry on the surface being cleaned.
I've used this product on everything you can think of (blinds, the surface and inside of the plug-in smoke filters I use, the
oven, the
fridge, etc.
The only thing it doesn't work on is caulk (I suspect this is because it's rubber based and the stain has actually penetrated it) and
grout.

Thanks so much for sharing this review Kate.
I'll have to look for this cleaner the next time I go to a dollar store. I'd love to hear from even more people who've used it.
I notice it is also a degreaser, so I would also love to hear how it works for this purpose. You can

tips for cleaning walls here, or you can share your own!
