by Cole

Cole shared this review of Cerama Bryte stainless steel polish, and specifically how it helped fix a problem caused on his stainless steel surfaces caused by Easy Off oven cleaner.

warning about Easy Off use on stainless steel surfaces
He was writing specifically in regard to the article here on the site warning about not using Easy Off on stainless steel, because although the instructions say it is safe it seems to damage these surfaces.

He suggested a way to "fix" the problem caused, which of course was something many people were interested in.

Cole says:

I'm not sure when all these earlier posts were posted but I thought i would post something that worked for me.

I sprayed Easy Off on my oven/backsplash/around control handles. It left an bleached sort of look.

I tried everything. Then I tried Cerama Bryte Stainless Steel Cleaning Polish and Conditioner.

This managed to almost fully correct the issue around the handles that control the burners. It's pretty much perfect looks wise, although very close inspection reveals the underlying damage.

This didn't work as well for the backsplash. Not sure why. I can only figure one is coated less or more.

I tried all the things on this blog including car wax. Nothing worked expect this.

Cerama Bryte. Small bottle.

Good luck.
