Dollar General Delicate Wash Review

by Cheryl

Cheryl says:

This is much like Woolite, but it is much more economical. It comes in a 16 oz bottle.

I use this for gentle care washing, i.e. sweaters, blouses, etc.

It is not meant for tackling stains, so if the garment has a stain I will use Ivory Snow detergent instead.

Taylor says:

Thanks for your review Cheryl.

I know what you mean about Woolite, and delicate washes in general, being expensive. I recently bought a bottle of the name brand delicate wash so I could use it, and review it here for the site (here's my review by the way) and I noted how expensive it was, especially for the small number of loads it does.

I myself used to use a store brand for my delicates for this very reason. I used Kroger Everyday living's version for many years, but unfortunately it has now been discontinued. It can be hard to find stores that carry a store brand version, instead of just the name brands like Ivory Snow and Woolite.

Next time I'm at Dollar General I'll have to give this one a try. At $1 a bottle it is a much better deal!

Has anyone else used this product, or any of the laundry or cleaning supplies from Dollar General? If so, I'd love to hear what you think about them, good or bad. You can share your cleaning product reviews here and your laundry supplies reviews here.

In addition, I've created a list of available delicate wash products that you can check out, if you'd like to read a bunch of reviews of these products all at once.

Lack of Delicate Wash in our area
by: Tricia

Why have you stopped bringing delicate wash to our dollar generals in our area. I love it and miss it. I can't find anything that works as well as this does unless you pay a lot for it. It used to be in our stores all the time and you just quit. Our stores are Teague, Texas, Mexia, Texas, and Fairfield, Texas. Please bring it back for us.

can't find it now!
