Below is a video showing hard water stain removal techniques using vinegar.
Hard water spots and stains are caused by a build up of minerals that are found in hard water.
This hard water will build up making stains and spots on metal and glass which cloud the finish.
Since these hard water deposits are alkaline on the pH scale they are easily removed by something mildly acidic, such as distilled white vinegar which has acetic acid in it.
The video suggests using a solution of 2 parts distilled white vinegar and 1 part water, and spraying this solution onto the hard surface where you want to remove hard water spots and stains.
Then, just rub on the hard water stains with a cloth, and the vinegar solution will get rid of the spots.
See the video for a demonstration, to see exactly how easy hard water stain removal can be.
