I Use Shout Advanced Foam Aerosol & Also Gel Depending On The Stain

by SR101 Reader

I received a review of two Shout Advanced products, including both the gel and the foam from a reader.

SR101 Reader says:

I use several Shout products depending on the type of stain.

Most of the time I use the Shout gel with the brush.

I really like being able to pre treat the stains (coffee, tea, ketchup, milk) and wash several days later.

The product is working while I am busy doing other things, like working, and getting stains on another uniform!

When it comes to greasy food stains like cooking oil, or stains like motor oil or bicycle grease, I prefer the Shout aerosol as it contains some type of solvent.

The only difference is that the aerosol cannot be left on the stain for several days. This product must be used right before the wash.

Pretreating makes a big difference in the outcome.

In addition when I have stained laundry (at least 2 loads per week) I always use a heavy duty detergent like Wisk and a non chlorine bleach such as Clorox 2 when I run the wash.

Taylor says:

Thanks so much for sharing the reviews of both of these Shout laundry products.

I think it is a great idea to use different stain removers on different types of stains, especially ones as different in composition between the greasy and other food stains. What acts to remove them is just different, sometimes.

I would love to hear from even more people who use either of these laundry stain removers, or any other variety, sharing how it has worked for them, and on what types of stains. You can share your laundry stain remover reviews here, or read others that have already been submitted.
