Pledge Pet Hair Remover Video Reviews For The Pledge Fabric Sweeper
Below I've collected several Pledge pet hair remover reviews, for the Pledge Fabric Sweeper, sharing how it worked for cleaning up pet hair from various surfaces.
This product is basically two rollers which you roll over various fabric surfaces which seem to accumulate cat hair, like upholstery, carpet, couches, and other fabric. The hair is picked up and placed in a holding bin at the top of the product. (Sorry if my explanation leaves something to be desired -- it really is easier to understand once you see the video which shows the product in action.)
This first video is from Consumer Reports, and it compares this product to the Scotch Pet Hair Roller, which is an adhesive based product, and the Scotch Fur Fighter, which is a product with sheets with basically rubber grippers which grab the hair.
Basically, Consumer Reports thought the product worked very well, and was easier to use than either of the Scotch products.
Next, here is a video showing a great little tip to let you use your Pledge Fabric Sweeper for pet hair longer. Basically, when the little pet hair holder fills up Pledge instructs you to throw it away and get a new one. That could get expensive really quickly.
This video shows how to remove the rollers to get rid of the accumulated pet hair so you can reuse the Pledge pet hair remover over and over without having to buy a replacement!
This video shows you how to reuse the fabric sweeper over and over after it fills with pet hair, instead of throwing it away and having to buy a new one.
Finally, here is a video that shows both the limitations and positives of this product. Basically, she liked it for easy quick clean up of pet hair, but for big amounts she felt her vacuum still worked better.
From observing how it is used, I assume that this works best for cleaning solid surfaces, like a couch or carpet, but would not be a great choice for removing pet hair from draperies or your own clothing, at least not without having to lay that fabric over a more solid surface first. Is my assumption true?
I would like to hear from even more people, sharing their opinions about this product, and how it has worked for them. You can share your pet hair removers review here, for this or any other brand, telling me what you liked (or didn't) about it, and why.
Mandy has shared her review of the Pledge hair remover brush, called a Fabric Sweeper.
Mandy says:
This product works wonders. You can buy it on Amazon for cheap, and even cheaper if you subscribe (what we have done).
It collects all the hair in a single go. If you have ever used a sticky pad or a lint roller to collect hair from your sofa or upholstered cushions, you know that using sheet after sheet, you still get a high volume of hair.
Well, say bye bye to that. This thing will collect the hair in the little box above the rollers. The best part is, unlike the description, this is not a disposable thing. You can just remove one of the rollers and then empty the collected hair and perfectly reuse the brush over and over again.
This is really great if you have a shedding queen like we have! (We have a year old Cocker Spaniel.)
Therefore, we like this product that is very cheap, and is extremely effective where a vacuum would take hours of hard work and lint rollers would take 100s of sheets.
I use the Pledge pet hair remover for the sofa, upholstery, chairs, cushions, fabrics, clothes and people!
Taylor says:
Thanks Mandy for your review of this product.
It seems like many people really like it. I had assumed it was not very good for removing hair from clothing, but you say you use it for that purpose. That is good to know.
I would love to hear from others sharing their experiences with this, or any other pet hair remover, telling me how it has worked for them. You can share your review here, or read reviews of other products already submitted.
Fabric Sweeper From Pledge Is The Best Product Ever!
by MJ
MJ says:
This is the best pet hair removal product on the market, hands down, besides a vacuum.
I have 2 cats that shed constantly and this product is awesome at removing the hair.
My only problem is that the store I was buying it from no longer has it in stock.
Now I have to look for it online.
Taylor says:
Thanks for the review MJ.
If you're having trouble finding this product in stores, please check out the links to Amazon I have at the top and bottom of the pages, where you can still buy this online.
Marlene has shared her Pledge Fabric Sweeper for pet hair review.
Marlene says:
This product is a lifesaver for anyone who has dogs who shed.
Having two labs, one yellow, one black, pet hair is a constant uphill battle. Really, I should vacuum everyday, but who has time for that?
This is why I use this Pledge pet hair remover. It is an easy way to clean the furniture without having to lug out the vacuum. It is very easy to use, and it immediately begins to pick up hair. You just roll it across the furniture, and the hair is swept into the holder.
When last minute guests drop in I use it to quickly clean up the furniture so everyone can sit without getting covered with hair. The only downside is that it is a little pricey, but because of it's easy and quick use, I continue to buy it. If I haven't vacuumed in a while and use it the container may fill up in one use, and I'll have to throw it away, but because it's so easy, it's worth it.

Thanks Marlene for sharing your review of this product.
I urge you, however, to watch the second video above where the lady shows you how to empty the fabric sweeper of its pet hair, so you can reuse it and not have to buy a new one so often! That should definitely save you some money, which is always a good thing.

This is the best product I have ever used to pick up pet hair. I bought two when they first came out at Walmart for $5.00 each. Now Walmart doesn't have them anymore. On line they want anywhere from $50.00 to over $100 dollars, they don't look any different then the one's I have. Price is way to much for this piece of plastic with lint rollers inside. By the way it can be taken apart to clean the hair out. Once they were out I won't be replacing at those prices.
This is 'God's Gift to Petowners! by: Richard Ret
This is 'God's Gift to Petowners'! It is by far, the best tool I ever tried. With our short hair dog AND a long hair, big fat cat and your video on how to clean it out is incredible! I was trying to find a new one online and stumbled on to your video on that very subject. That lovely and innovative young lady who made that video is brilliant! Great job! :-)

What is up with the 80 some dollars for a item i paid 5 dollars for?????
It is plastic and not a machine you clean your house with.
Bye Bye Pet Hair! by: Anonymous
This is really a better product than a lint roller or some other type of pet hair cleaner. It works so quickly and efficiently that I’m always happy to keep it near my furniture as I have 2 cats. I’ve tried other so called "solutions" for removing pet hair but nothing beats the Pledge Roller. I just wish they still stocked it at most of the super markets.

Fabric Sweeper from Pledge is the best ever product.
Super easy fix worth its weight in gold!!! by: BobK
Seriously, the Pledge Pet Hair Pickup has to be one of the best tools to do the job. Why Pledge discontinued it is beyond me. Being able to empty the hair from its carrier makes this one-use tool immortal!
