Remove Ink Stains From Carpet With WD-40

Below is a video giving tips for how to remove ink stains from carpet.

The video suggests using WD-40 to clean the ink off the carpet.

Yes, WD-40, the spray lubricant that I normally think of as the stuff to grab when you have a squeak in a door hinge.

After you spray the ink stain on the carpet with the WD-40 let it sit for a couple of minutes, and then sponge the stain with warm soapy water.

Once the stain is removed rinse the carpet with warm water. (Note that the video shows someone just pouring water onto the carpet to rinse, and I definitely would not recommend that. Instead, I would sponge with additional water to remove as much of the WD-40 and soapy water as possible, so you don't soak the carpet down to the pad.)

Then, let the carpet dry completely.
