Surf detergent is actually a brand name that is used in the UK and several other countries by Unilever, and also a brand name used by Sun Products in the United States.

The product shown on the right is the version sold in the United States.

The other version of Surf laundry detergent, sold in the United Kingdom, is different, and is marketed as coming in several different scents with a variety of essential oils blends.

Although it appeared for a while that the United States version of Surf was on its way out, recently it appears that Sun Products Corporation has created several new scents, and varieties.

For example, at one point it was only available as powdered detergent. Now, however, they've introduced a couple of liquid versions, which are HE compatible in an effort to breathe new life into the brand.

For example, there are now quite a few scents available. In the powdered version you can get Surf in Spring Burst, Sparkling Ocean, Aloha Splash, Fresh Morning Breeze with baking soda, and Waterfall Clean Oxi-Active. Of these scents the liquid HE is available for the Sparkling Ocean and Aloha Splash only.
