Most typically you'll find mineral oil in drugstores, used as a laxative. However, that is certainly not the only way to use it in your home.
Instead, it can also be used for cleaning, as a product all by itself, as an ingredient in other homemade cleaning recipes.
Of course, if you're going to use it on anything where you may ingest some of it you need to make sure it is food-grade quality.
Obviously, if you buy it in laxative form it will be safe for ingestion, but you'll need to make sure that it doesn't contain any other ingredients.
Otherwise, the easiest way to find it in food-grade form is as an oil for wooden cutting boards.
I'd love to hear from you, telling me how you use it in your home. You can skip down here to share your uses here.
