Xtra detergent is manufactured by Church & Dwight Co., the same parent company that makes Arm & Hammer detergent and Oxiclean.

This product is touted mainly for the various scents it can leave behind in your laundry, and therefore comes in a wide variety of scents to choose from, along with fabric softeners, called Xtra Nice 'N Fluffy fabric softener which complement some of the scents. (It appears they used to have dryer sheets too, but these appear to have been discontinued.)

It appears the product is only available in liquid laundry detergent, and not in powdered.

Further, none of the detergents are advertised as clearly advertised as HE compatible on the website, but some readers have reported seeing the symbol on certain bottles. Therefore, if you need a HE version carefully look at the bottle to make sure the one you choose will work for you.
