Believe it or not, as sturdy as brick can look you have to be careful when you clean it to make sure you do not damage either the brick itself, or the mortar in between the bricks.
Typically too, brick is on the outside of your home, meaning it gets dirty from exposure to the elements. It can develop moss, mold, mildew and algae growth, along with dirt and grime.
