It is becoming more and more popular, it seems, to use a fabric softener recipe to make your own, instead of purchasing commercial fabric softener.
I think there are several reasons for that, including that we are trying to save money, reduce the man-made chemicals that make it into our home, and we want control over the scent that this laundry product has, if any.
If you use a homemade recipe I would love to hear it, and add it to this site.
Further, if you create a scent blend for this product, especially with essential oils, please make sure you tell me which oils you use, and the ratio used since people love to hear these suggestions!
There are lots of recipes for home made fabric softener floating around out there, especially here on the Internet. Have you used a recipe that worked well for you? If so, please share the recipe and instructions with us here.
In addition, if you have tried to make your own fabric softener, and the recipe you used didn't work as well as you would like it, you can also tell us about that, so we can steer clear of these recipes.
